While Breckenridge Brewery is merely among the highest breweries in the US, Breckinridge Distillery IS the highest distillery in the United States. This is a popular place so you will want to make reservations–just in case. We were a party of seven so it was a no brainer. Booking a table is super easy on their website.
I ordered a pour of their high proof bourbon (105). One of my rules of thumb when visiting breweries or distilleries: Always order the beverage they create. Therefore, while they have a variety of interesting cocktails, I always prefer to sample their spirits unmixed. Occasionally I order a whisky flight but not this time. Their high proof bourbon did not disappoint.
Their ribeye was perfect, and just like their spirits–I didn’t want to add anything to it.
